Welcome to Scartho Junior Academy’s website! ‘Developing  a Lifelong Love of Learning’  is at the heart of everything  that we do. Our main aim is to provide memorable learning experiences for all children, that stay with them for a lifetime. We believe that this is key to creating the desire for children to come to school and learn, which will in turn then have an impact on the progress that all children make with their learning.

Whilst the raising of standards in all areas of curriculum learning are of the utmost importance to us, we focus on developing every individual child so that they achieve their full academic, social, emotional and spiritual potential. As a school, we ensure that we know every individual child so we know what ‘makes them tick’ and what they are passionate about in order that they become great learners.

Linked in very carefully to this high emphasis on focusing on every individual child is the whole school approach to developing highly motivated learners. We firmly believe that by focusing  on, and celebrating individuals’ successes, then every child will have an excellent chance to succeed as they progress through the learning journey at Scartho Junior Academy.

A key way that we develop this ethos around learning is based around the curriculum that we provide every child. Our approach to learning is based around REAL Projects. This is a highly motivational and engaging learning process that ensures all our children learn and are ‘Developing  a Lifelong Love of Learning’.
