Curriculum Vision for Geography
At Scartho Junior Academy, we inspire the curiosity of our learners by equipping them with the skills to develop their knowledge about the world in which we live. Together, we celebrate how amazing our world is by exploring: diverse places, people, resources and natural vs. human environments. Using the skills of a Geographer, we also investigate: how the Earth’s features, at different scales, are shaped, interconnected and change over time. By the time they leave us, our children will have developed a greater understanding and knowledge of the world as well as our place in it, thus building their own identity and developing a sense of respect for the environments around us.
