Learning Skills

Without doubt, the content of our curriculum and knowledge that children gain whilst at Scartho Junior Academy is high on our list of priorities. However, as a school, we firmly believe that all our children should be developing 'Learning Skills' to enable them to achieve their potential and be good , if not better, learners. These skills focus on what could be deemed ' soft skills' that are not easy to test. These skills include; working together as a team; becoming resilient; thinking about different ways to solve these problems; working creatively; being organised; and reflecting on their learning. The image below demonstrates all our six learning skills that we develop with all our children.

The links below will take you to the self-assessment rubrics that relate to each of our learning skills.
