Support in School
This year, we have had some amazing support in school and it would be great if this continued in for our final term. If you are interested in offering help in any way, please feel free to pop into school or email me at email@example.com.
We're also on Twitter. Follow our class page at:
COMING UP THIS WEEK...
Our 'head in the hole' boards are still out there but not for much longer! Will anyone else be able to hunt out all four before they make their return to school?
On Tuesday, we are cooking some treats for Wednesday's SLC. We have some volunteers to help but if anyone else wishes to join us from 9:00, please let Miss Fawn know.
On Wednesday, it is our SLC afternoon. Most of you have returned your slip and have been allocated a time. The children have worked really hard to prepare their folders and scripts so they can share their learning highlights with you - we're looking forward to welcoming you all into school. SOLE Central (library) will be available before your appointment if you fancy a cup of tea and a treat while you wait.
During English lessons, we will complete our final reading assessment of the year as well as revising for our SPaG tests, which will be next week. You have all worked really hard all year so use these opportunities to shine! Some guided reading groups will take place this week so please remember your reading diaries; there will be no new spelling homework given out but we will make sure we test last week's words. Remember to use Bug Club at home to practise your reading and SPaG skills - Miss Fawn has updated everyone's book and activity lists for you.
Maths this week will focus on reasoning as we revise and assess our understanding. You all tried really hard with your arithmetic test, can you apply that knowledge when asked to solve problems? Remember, Mathletics can also be used to support any trickier areas you might be having difficulty with.
As we get closer to meeting our buddies, some of our REAL Project time will be spent writing our buddy letters to be sent over to the infants on Friday. We will also rehearse our SLC scripts in preparation for Wednesday. Whilst some of us are busy with our visitors on Wednesday, the rest of us will have a SOLE challenge - do miracles happen sometimes? We will end the week working in groups to begin planning out our Scarfest skills workshops.
On Tuesday, you will be cooking with Mr Rice.
On Thursday, Mrs Bond will take you for Art. This week, she will be continuing your magic box art work with you.
On Thursday, you will also have Miss Sanderson for your weekly games lesson.
